“The best in the world.”

Student hugging Cooper

When seventh-grader Karime Garcia returned to Nimitz Middle School this year, she had one thing on her mind: to get a selfie with “the best principal in the world,” Jennifer Cooper.

“I love her so much,” said Cooper. “I was so excited to see her. She’s the best little hugger.”

It’s clear Karime loves Cooper too. During their brief interaction, Karime couldn’t stop hugging Cooper and complimenting her “beautiful hair and lipstick.”

These relationships make “Back-to-School” so much fun for our staff and students. Karime is in a dance class this year, and Cooper admits peeking her head in to watch Karime dance might just be one of the best parts of her day.

Cooper and Karime are building relationships #theNEISDway
