Reagan cadet awarded the good citizen award

Each year, one student from Reagan High School is nominated for the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award. This student must be someone who exemplifies dependability, leadership, patriotism and service.  On Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, Becky DAR awarded Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Whitney with this award.

“I am honored for the opportunity given and deeply humbled to be recognized by a member of the faculty and staff in this manner,” said Andrew.

His JROTC Instructor was not surprised at all that Andrew was chosen for this honor.

“In the three years that he has been a member of the Rattler Battalion, he has proven himself to be one of my strongest leaders, and he is destined for great things in the future,” said LTC Chad Livingston, Senior JROTC Instructor.
