Our District’s efforts to help military students acclimate to their new schools and communities are featured in the latest issue of “On the Move,” the official magazine of the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC).
Sixty five of our campuses have earned Purple Star designations from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), which goes to schools that excel in meeting the needs of military students. Part of our District’s success in helping support our military families is our Student 2 Student (S2S) program. The award-winning S2S program connects civilian students with newly enrolled military children to ease the transition of being the “new kid” at school.
