Mr. Villarreal is Chief Financial Officer for North East Independent School District responsible for providing leadership to the Division for Business Services. Mr. Villarreal was born and raised in San Antonio, and has been a lifelong resident. He graduated from Luther Burbank High School in 1978, and received his Bachelor in Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1982. He earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1995. He served as Executive Director for Risk Management, Employee Benefits, and Health Services Department at North East ISD where he was responsible for the district-wide Wellness Program and served as chairperson for the District's Health Initiatives Committee.He is presently an active member of the following professional activities:

- Texas Association of School Business Officials
- Texas Association of School Administrators
- Texas Society of CPAs
He and wife Laura have three wonderful children Allison Lauren, Daniel and Christopher.
