My name is Montserrath Delgadillo, it is a pleasure for me to be your children's teacher in this 2023-2024 school year. I am honored to have the joy of having your child in my class. We look forward to an enjoyable year filled with academic growth, as well as building close relationships in our community of learners. I am sure that with your support our students will have great academic and social development. This is my second year as a Third grade teacher.

I'll tell you a little about myself: I grew up in a small town near Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. I lived there until I was 14 years old. In 2011 I moved my family to San Antonio and this has been my home ever since. I started learning English at Roosevelt High School here in NEISD. In 2019, I finished my associate, in liberal arts and then transferred to the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) where I graduated with a Bachelor of Bilingual Education. In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, going for walks and watching movies.Having to face a language barrier inspired me to become a bilingual teacher. As a teacher, I believe I have a huge purpose in helping our children to become bilingual and value their cultural background. It is very important for me to promote to our children the importance of being bicultural for all the opportunities that are open to them in a professional, social and personal way.

Mi nombre es Montserrath Delgadillo es un placer para mi ser la maestra de sus niños/as en este ciclo escolar 2022-2023. Es un honor tener la dicha de tener a su hijo/a en mi clase. Esperamos tener un año agradable lleno de crecimiento académico, al igual que formar relaciones estrechas en nuestra comunidad de estudiantes. Estoy segura de que con su apoyo nuestros estudiantes tendrán un gran desarrollo académico y social. Este es mi primer amor como maestra y me siento muy afortunada de estar en el tercer grado.

Les cuento un poco sobre mí: Crecí en un pequeño pueblo cerca de Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Viví ahí hasta que cumplí 14 años. En el 2011 me mudé con mi familia a San Antonio y desde entonces este ha sido mi hogar. Comencé a aprender el inglés en la preparatoria Roosevelt aquí en NEISD. En el 2019 termine mi asociado en artes liberales para después transferirme a la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio (UTSA) donde me gradué con un Bachillerato en Educación Bilingüe. En mi tiempo libre disfruto mucho leer, pasar tiempo con mi familia, salir a caminar y ver películas.

Habiendo tenido que enfrentar una barrera del lenguaje me inspiró a convertirme en maestra bilingüe. Siendo maestra bilingüe siento tener un propósito enorme para ayudar a nuestros niños a ser bilingües y biculturales. Es muy importante para mí el fomentarles a nuestros niños la importancia de ser biculturales por todas las oportunidades que se les abren de manera laboral, social y personal.
