Ms. Conni Subealdea

Hi! I am Conni Subealdea, ELL Coordinator for Nimitz Middle School. Although I am new to the Nimitz Family I am not new to education. The past 15 years I have worked passionately with students and educators as a classroom teacher, Instructional Coach, Dual Language Strategist and Learning Strategist for the Clark County School District, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

18 years ago I was very fortunate to take advantage of an opportunity, geared towards professionals, and found myself recruited into an Alternative Licensure Route Program, focused to teach Bilingual Education, a difficult teaching position to fill.  Thus my educational journey, with a specialized concentration in Bilingual Education began.

Although I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I take great pride in being the first member of my family to graduate from college.  My studies at UNLV proved to be some of the best learning experiences I have had and continues to be a critical component in my professional career.  I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology (BA), Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (M.Ed.), Education Specialist (Ed.S) and currently a Doctoral Student, Language Acquisition with a Cognate in Educational Leadership.
