Hello, my name is Mr. Miranda and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am originally from California where most of my family still lives. I joined the service right out of high school where I served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. When I was honorably discharged from the service I moved to New Mexico where I met my wife Yvonne. We have a wonderful son named after me, Ricard. While living in New Mexico I attended Eastern New Mexico University where I received a bachelor’s degree in education. We moved to San Antonio Texas in 2003 because I accepted a teaching position at Olmos Elementary school. I taught there for 2 years. I then moved to Larkspur Elementary School where I taught multiple grade levels for the next 12 years. During these twelve years I received my master’s degree in Curriculum/Science from Our Lady Of The Lake University. I decided to try middle school which leads me to were i currently teach, Nimitz Middle School. I teach 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade newcomer science classes. I love it here at Nimitz and hope to retire from here someday.
