I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year what an amazing opportunity I have been given to work in this amazing community for my upcoming 8th year in bilingual education. My name is Barbara Fowlks. I got married this last November in Paris and it was dream! I was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon but came to San Antonio in early Elementary which is where my passion for bilingual education started, I wanted to help kids learn a second language just like I did at a young age. I am a proud momma to a baby girl Zarai who is 4 and is here in Pre-K at Vineyard Ranch. Also a mama to a spoiled yorkie named Papas along with some silkie chickens.

I have a Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising and a Masters of Arts in Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word. I was in retail management and visual merchandising for 5 years before coming into education, and have worked for Boerne Independent school district as well as Edgewood ISD prior to coming to Northeast. I have taught 3rd, 2nd, 1st and now Kinder which is so exciting. Looking forward to an amazing 4th year here at the Ranch
