BA Interdisciplinary Studies Early Childhood- 6th Dual Language Certified

Mrs. Miranda

I love teaching Spanish reading and writing! I am a passionate Spanish teacher with a strong commitment to challenging my students and enhancing their critical thinking skills. My teaching approach is centered on encouraging students to engage deeply with the language, not just in terms of grammar and vocabulary, but through critical analysis and thoughtful discussion of texts and cultural contexts.

My goal is to equip students with both the language skills and the critical thinking abilities that will serve them well in their academic and personal lives. I strive to create a learning environment that is intellectually stimulating and relevant, helping students build a lasting connection with the Spanish language.

I was born and raised in Peru but have been living in Texas for over 20 years. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and I am certified by the State of Texas to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade. I have been married for 18 years and am a mother of two wonderful children. My son is a senior in high school, and my daughter is a 7th grader. I also have three sisters, three nieces, and one nephew.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy strength training, going out to eat, and spending time with my family. Life is good, and I am so excited to be working with your child this year. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
