Mr. Nelson Guerra

Greetings, Broncos!

Welcome to my 3rd grade classroom at Vineyard Ranch Elementary School!  My name is Nelson Guerra, and I am thrilled to begin my second year at this amazing campus.  I am starting my sixteenth year as an educator with experience in teaching middle school English language arts, ESL, social studies, 4th grade English language arts and Reading, 4th grade science, and 5th grade self-contained.  I completed the traditional teacher certification program at Our Lady of the Lake University back in 2008.  Go Saints!  I did my clinical teaching assignments in 8th and 12th grades in SAISD.  After that, I taught social studies at the School of Science and Technology for a couple of years, came to NEISD where I taught writing at Driscoll Middle School, moved to Lopez Middle School and taught English as a second language for nine years, moved to NISD where I taught 5th grade, and now I am happy to be back home in NEISD.  I look forward to a fun and exciting new school year!
