Welcome to 3rd grade!

My name is Lucy Alvarado, and I am a third-grade teacher. This will be my fifth year at Vineyard Ranch Elementary. I graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with both my Bachelor's and Master's of Art in Education. I am certified to teach early childhood up to the sixth grade. I have always known I wanted to be a teacher, so I am so glad to be fulfilling my passion here at Vineyard Ranch. I love working with kiddos and seeing them grow physically, academically, emotionally, and so much more! I have been so fortunate to work with the best students and their families.  

I was born and raised here in San Antonio but attended the SAISD district. Outside of the classroom, you can find me at home with my family. I love to read in my free time, go for long drives, and watch Netflix or Disney+ with my nieces and nephews. Overall, I am so excited to be here and I look forward to meeting you! Thank you so much!
