Off Campus Physical Activity


North East ISD participates in Category I Off Campus Physical Activity. Students must participate and compete in a sport that is not currently offered at NEISD schools and compete in their sport at a national to Olympic level. Students must train at least 15 hours per week and compete at national to Olympic level competitions throughout the year.     Off Campus Physical Activity (OCPA) Overview and Responsibilities

     

    Approved Off Campus Physical Activity (OCPA) students are responsible for obtaining administrative approval for all school-day absences prior to the absence for competition.  For further information, please review the "What are the responsibilities of the student/parent with regard to Off Campus Physical Activity?" section of the OCPA Guidelines.

    All students interested in OCPA (both new and currently approved) must complete an application in Skyward each school year.

  • Off Campus Physical Activity (OCPA) Application Information for the 2025-2026 School Year

    FOR AGENCIES

     

    All agencies wishing to serve as a site for NEISD OCPA must have prior approval by NEISD.      

     

    Agency Application Window: November 11, 2024, through February 7, 2025, no later than 5:00 p.m. (CST). No late applications will be accepted.

     

    Agency Application Process  

    All new and currently approved OCPA Agencies will need to submit an application for the 2025-2026 school year.  Agencies will be reviewed annually for approval.

    Agency applications may be submitted starting November 11, 2024, and no later than February 7, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year. 

    No late applications will be accepted.

  • 2025-2026 Off-Campus Physical Activity (OCPA) Application

    FOR STUDENTS

     

    Agencies MUST be approved prior to the student application window opening.

     

    Student Application Window: April 1, 2025, through June 15, 2025, no later than 5:00 p.m. (CST).  No late applications will be accepted.

     

    Student Application Process

    All students interested in OCPA (both new and currently approved) must complete an application in Skyward each school year prior to the closing of the Student Application Window.  This is especially important if qualifications or tryouts occur after the Student Application Window has closed. Student applications will not be accepted after the deadline.

    For a student to apply for the OCPA program, the student must be enrolled in NEISD and then their parent-legal guardian will need to log in to Skyward Family Access. Direct link to OCPA Application.
