Human Sexuality & Abstinence Education Parent Preview Information

This curriculum is currently under review due to the implementation of the new TEKS. The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) will host two public meetings prior to making a recommendation to the Board for approval. While this process is underway, lessons in Human Sexuality & Abstinence Education will not be conducted.
Updates regarding the review process will be posted here, including the dates of the public meetings.

Prevention of Child Abuse, Family Violence, Dating Violence, and Sex Trafficking Instruction
This curriculum is currently under construction due to the implementation of the new TEKS and new legislation surrounding these topics. The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) will host two public meetings prior to making a recommendation to the Board for approval. While this process is underway, lessons in the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and sex trafficking will not be conducted.

Information about each grade level is available below. Parents may set up a meeting with their campus, or with the District PE and Health Department office, to review their child's grade level curriculum, in its entirety.
