Hello! My name is Mary Flores, and I’m proud to serve as the ECSE Co-Teacher at Roan Forest Elementary. This is my third year at Roan Forest and my ninth year as a Special Education teacher.

I was born in El Paso, Texas, and earned my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. I began my teaching career with the El Paso Independent School District, where I taught for three years in Resource and Inclusion settings. I later moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where I spent an additional three years teaching Special Education at the middle school level in both Resource and Self-Contained classrooms.

I am passionate about helping young learners grow through meaningful, hands-on experiences. My goal is to create a classroom environment where students can explore, feel supported, and find joy in discovering new things. I believe in guiding each child according to their unique learning style, and I am committed to supporting and advocating for every student.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two sons. I’m happy to be part of the Roan Forest family and look forward to a great school year!
