Ms. Melissa Vasquez

Welcome to Reading/ Academic Resource for 6th-8th grade. It's going to be a great year here at Nimitz Middle School/ STEM, I am so happy to be here. This will be my 17th year in education as I join fellow Seahawks. 

 I grew up in a military family and am used to traveling to various parts of the world. I was born in Germany and spent my childhood in Mexico, before graduating from Judson High School here in San Antonio. I love this city and reside near the downtown area. I attended University of the Incarnate Word and I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts and Business degree. I went back through Region 20 and became fully certified in education and have enjoyed every moment of this choice. I also have a Master's degree in Business from the University of Phoenix.  

I am very grateful to teach what I love. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. I am always available for my students and parents. Thank you for trusting me with your child.

Tutoring is available before school on Tuesday-Thursday or Monday afternoon; please ask me for a pass and I will happily get that for you.
