My name is Ms. Hernandez and this is my second year teaching 6^th grade Pre-AP/GT English at the STEM Academy. Prior to coming on board at STEM, I worked as the Education Coordinator at the San Antonio Zoo. I was so fortunate to become very closely acquainted with many of the animals. I led all the Behind the Scenes experiences, participated with the animal training and enrichment, wrote the curriculum for the TEKS aligned programs called Real.Wild.Classrooms, and spent many all-nighters at the zoo with the nocturnal animals. Prior to my 3 years at the zoo, I taught 4^th grade (English, Science and Texas History) for 21 years and was the Technology Sponsor.
