Hello parents and friends! Welcome! I am thrilled to begin my seventeenth year teaching here at Canyon Ridge. So far, I have taught special education in fourth grade, general education in first grade, third grade, second grade. This will be my third year teaching English, language arts and social studies with Mrs. Bolton, just across the hall, who teaches math and science. 

I received my masters in teaching from The University of the Incarnate Word. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University in Art and Art History. I am certified to teach early childhood through fourth grade, special education, and esl. 

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family. My husband and I have five children and three grandchildren! I also enjoy long runs in the park on the weekends and participating in local marathon races. The school garden has become a passion and, along with Mrs. Van Horn and other volunteers, we grow everything from peppers to potatoes! 

I can't wait to start another year with a new group of Coyotes!
