Hello! My name is Kristin Avitua and I am the Instructional Intervention Teacher and 504 Coordinator at Royal Ridge!

I graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. While teaching in the Southwest ISD in San Antonio, I obtained my master's degree in Educational Leadership from UTSA in 2002. I am happy to be starting my 23nd year teaching and my 18th year at Royal Ridge. I truly enjoy the students, parents, and faculty of Royal Ridge! We work as a great team!

As the IIT, I provide small group instruction in Dyslexia as well as providing instructional support to teachers and students across the campus.  This is my 3rd year in this position at Royal Ridge and I absolutely love it! I look forward to working with you and your child!!
