Welcome to 4th grade!  It is going to be a great school year!  My name is Kara Kelley and I will be your child's 4th grade teacher. 

This will be my 7th year as an educator.  I taught 2nd grade for five years in a small district called Krum, outside of Denton, TX. Last year, I taught 3rd grade at Patton Elementary in Austin ISD.  I am beyond excited to teach at Royal Ridge this year!

I received my bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in 2009, with a specialition in Allied Health.  After realizing the medical field wasn't for me, I went back to school to get my teaching degree. I received my teaching certification from the University of North Texas in 2012. 

This is my first year in the amazing city of San Antonio. I am recently enaged to my fiance, Marc, and I have three fun-loving dogs- Sophie, Bailey, and Sioux. I spend my free time reading, gardening, doing yoga, or being outdoors in some way (hiking, kayaking, fishing, etc).

I am honored to be your child's teacher this year, and I look forward to working with you to help your student grow to their greatest potential!
