Hello 2nd Grade Families!  I am excited to return to the Royal Ridge Elementary team as a 2nd-grade teacher for a fifth year.  I have11 years of experience as an elementary teacher in which I took 12 years off to be a mommy!!! I was blessed with two AMAZING boys.  My oldest son, Tres graduated from MacArthur, and my youngest son, Estevan, will be a senior and attending MacArthur High School. Go Brahmas!!!!  During my mommy time, I spent 5 years as a substitute teacher for NEISD, a room mom for my boy's wonderful teachers at Wetmore Elementary, and have been a PTA member with NEISD.  My boys are my everything including our sweet dog Buster, named after the dog in Toy Story.  In my downtime, I enjoy scrapbooking, listening to music, watching movies like the Avengers, playing board games, reading, shooting hoops with my son, and going to rock concerts with my family. (Now, we watch concerts on Youtube...must stay safe at home!)  

I graduated from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in which I majored in Reading with a minor in Early Childhood.

It has been an interesting and unconventional week getting ready for school and preparing as we head back face to face.  I am so excited to see my little ones and know that  I will work tirelessly to support you and your children as we prepare them for a successful school year at Royal Ridge Elementary.  It's going to be a MARVELous year!!!
