I am excited to be a member of the Special Education team for my ninth year at Royal Ridge Elementary School in North East Independent School District!  

My degree is in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  I also received a Special Education certification through a grant program at Trinity University.  I have previous experience as a fourth and fifth grade teacher, in-class support teacher and resource teacher, taught Special Education resource classes using a pull-out model, and have taught self-contained Redirection and Alternative Learning Environment classes most recently.

My goal is to help all children build a foundation for a successful future.  This school year we will continue to build on academic foundations from previous school years and organizational skills.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my eleven-year-old daughter, four-year-old son, husband, and Beagle Puppy-Star.  My hobbies include reading, crocheting, and scrapbooking.  I also enjoy traveling and cooking.  As a family we enjoy hiking and camping!
