Hello community members! My name is Zelvia Castillo and I have been the Family Specialist at Jackson Middle School since 2005. I work with parents, students, and staff to make sure that every student has what they need to succeed at school.

I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2003 and Master’s in Social Work in 2004 from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. I have experience in Mental Health Services, Homelessness, Domestic Violence, Gang Violence, Counseling, Developmental Screenings, Crisis Intervention, Mediation, Community Event Planning, Parenting, and School Social Work.

Outside of Jackson Middle, my treasures are my husband, 3 beautiful children, Marizela, Jozlyn, and Christian. I also have a fur baby (Bolt). I enjo/y dancing as well as being an active and involved karate/dance/theatre mom. I absolutely LOVE Jackson Middle School and working in this wonderful community.
