Welcome to my webpage! My name is Mary Burk and this is my fourth year teaching ESL and Reading Workshop at Jackson! I also coach Go-Team Girls Basketball. I am from San Antonio, and attended UTSA for my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies 4-8 with an endorsement in ESL. I have a huge passion for ESL and love being in the Jaguar Family!

ESL Reading (REC 0499)"English as a Second Language," is a program offered to students who are not native English speakers. This reading class is provided to beginner and intermediate English learners. The coarse builds foundational reading strategies and English literacy. Student growth in reading comprehension and fluency is course focus.   

Reading Workshop (RDG WRKSHP 6, 7, or 8)
This is a required elective course taken to build STAAR score growth to aproaching standards. Grade level reading comprehension is course focus.
