Hello, my name is Jessica Arriaga Grove. I am very excited to be teaching Second Grade Dual Language at Vineyard Ranch. This is my twelfth year teaching. I taught kindergarten for three years and first grade for eight years. I am a San Antonio native, who graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a master’s degree in Bilingual-Bicultural Education. I strongly believe in the dual language program because it promotes bilingualism and bi-literacy.

My goal this year is to help each child become a better reader and writer and prepare them academically for third grade. We are going to have a great year, and I look forward to working closely with each of my students and their parents as well!

Hola, me llamo Jessica Arriaga Grove. Estoy muy emocionada de ser maestra dual de segundo grado en Vineyard Ranch. Tengo tres años de experiencia en Kínder y 8 años en Primero. Soy nativa de San Antonio y gradué de la Universidad de Tejas en San Antonio. Recibí mi maestría en la educación bilingüe en el 2012. Creo firmemente en el programa dual, porque promueve el bilingüismo y el bi-alfabetismo.

Mi meta este año es que mis estudiantes sean mejores lectores y escritores e prepararlos académicamente para tercer grado. ¡Vamos a tener un año de mucho éxito y espero poder trabajar muy cercanamente con cada uno de mis estudiantes y sus padres también!
