Eighteen years teaching at NEISD! 

Born in Madrid, Spain. Degree in Mass Media Communication (Advertising and Public affairs) from the Complutense University of Madrid with an extraordinary award. I combined business life with teaching in this professional field for many years. In business, as manager of marketing and communication in several companies, I simultaneously wrote articles in different magazines in the sector. Academically, as a teacher at the European University and other postgraduate centers.

One day I decided to take a 360º turn in my life. I left the business field to dedicate myself exclusively to teaching, changing my residence from Spain to the United States and teaching adults to children. A huge change from which I have already received many rewards and gratifications from students, parents, colleagues and new friends!

I arrived in San Antonio, Texas in 2005. I was hired in Spain to work as a bilingual teacher at NEISD, via an international program in which the Ministry of Education of Spain and the United States partnered, called “Visiting Teachers”. 

As of now,  I have taught classes in Kindergarten, 1st and 4th grade. Currently, I am part of the Dual Program, here at Vineyard Ranch Elementary, where I will continue to work passionately on the complex and strenuous, yet wonderful task of teaching and educating children, trying to enrich them and instill in them my other great passion, “traveling”.

¡Dieciocho años enseñando en NEISD!

Nacida en Madrid, España. Licenciada en Ciencias de la Información por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid con premio extraordinario. Combiné la vida empresarial con la docente en este ámbito profesional durante muchos años. Empresarialmente, como responsable de marketing y comunicación en varias empresas, a la vez que escribiendo artículos en distintas revistas del sector. Académicamente, como docente en la Universidad Europea y otros centros de postgrado.

Un buen día decidí dar un giro de 360º a mi vida, dejé el ámbito empresarial para dedicarme exclusivamente al docente cambiando mi residencia de España a Estados Unidos y la enseñanza de adultos por la de niños. ¡Un gran cambio!, del cual he recibido muchísimas recompensas y gratificaciones a través de alumnos, padres, colegas y nuevas amistades.  

Llegué a San Antonio, Texas en el 2005. Fui contratada en España para ejercer como maestra bilingüe en NEISD, dentro de un  programa internacional entre el Ministerio de Educación de España y Estados Unidos  llamado “Programa de Profesores visitantes“.

Hasta ahora he impartido clases en Kinder, 1er  y 4º grado. Actualmente formo parte del Programa Dual, aquí en la Primaria Vineyard Ranch, donde seguiré trabajando apasionadamente en la compleja y extenuante pero maravillosa labor de enseñar y educar a los niños, intentando enriquecerlos e inculcarles mi otra gran pasión “viajar”.
