Mr. Gabriel Ramos
Hello, my name is Gabriel Ramos. I am excited to join Jackson Middle School as the new Assistant Band Director. I was formerly the Director of Bands at Rhodes Middle School in San Antonio ISD where we achieved numerous Sweepstakes awards throughout my time. I am a graduate from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas where I earned my Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a minor in All-Level Certification. I am a native of San Antonio born and raised. I am a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.
During my time at the University of the Incarnate Word, I held numerous leadership positions and teaching assignments while studying under Dr. Brett A Richardson, Mrs. Kathleen Jones, Dr. Ara Koh and Mr. William Gokelman. I completed my student teaching in NEISD at Bulverde Creek Elementary with Mrs. Amanda Morris and David Lee "Tex" Hill Middle School with Mrs. Kim Rosenberg. I fell in love with North East ISD while I was student teaching and I am very thrilled to be back!
Clarinet is my primary instrument although I do have a passion for ALL band instruments. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking and car care as some of my hobbies. You can find me performing actively with a local ensemble "Heart of Texas Concert Band" where I have played since 2018.
