Hello Encino Park Family, and welcome to 4th grade! My hope for this year is to foster an environment in which my students will feel safe, excited, and empowered enough to grow in their learning and as a person. It is going to be an outstanding year!

This will mark my 17th year as a teacher, and I absolutely love what I do. I grew up here in North East ISD, graduated from MacArthur High School, and then went on to the University of Texas at San Antonio where I graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have experience in every grade in elementary school except for 1st, but 4th grade is my favorite!

I am a wife and a mom of three wonderful children. We have three energetic dogs who keep us smiling and entertained. As a family, we enjoy getting out to explore nature, cooking at home, and playing board games. Creativity is one of my favorite outlets, and I especially love to sew and quilt when I have the time. 

As a teacher, I promise to see the best in each child and to help my students to create and achieve goals. We will try new things and understand that making mistakes is a part of learning and growing. Our classroom will be a kind place to learn, with plenty of laughter and fun too!
