Ms. Gutierrez

Hello Broncos! My name is Iris Gutierrez, and this is my second year teaching at Vineyard Ranch. I am going into my fourth year of teaching, and I am excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year!

I was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. After high school, I was accepted and attended the University of the Incarnate Word. While at UIW, I was involved with the Marching Cardinals, being one of the drumline captains for two years.I was also part of the Cardinal Red Basketball Band, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble. 

Being the youngest of three, I grew up in a family of teachers. My grandmother who had more than 40 years of experience in education and my mother who is starting her 23rd year. 

In November of this year I will marry my college sweetheart Travis Magness.

Fun Facts: I'm a big supporter of the Houston Astros, and the Seattle Krakens. I enjoy watching classic movies, and reading. I also have a rescue cat named Pebbles.
