Welcome to Fifth Grade 2024-2025 ! 

    WELCOME to 5th Grade!     I am excited to be teaching 5th grade again this year with a Fabulous Fifth Grade Team!   I have called Regency Place "HOME" since 2009.   I taught 3 years in First Grade Bilingual,   5 years in Third Grade Dual and this will be my 8th year in Fifth Grade.       Go, Regency Knights!

  A little bit about myself:  I graduated from Trinity University with a BA in Spanish and French, and hold a certification for EC-8 Bilingual Education. Participation in bicultural/bilingual settings has been important to me since high school, including educational opportunities abroad and working with international companies.  I decided to return to school to teach what I love -  LEARNING and LANGUAGE.   Teaching young minds and hearts at Regency is indeed the highlight of all my experiences!  I consider myself a life-long learner and believe diversity to be one of our greatest human assets.  I am enriched daily by my Regency students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.

Originally from Chicago, I have lived in San Antonio for over 40 years now.   My husband and I have two grown children, two ADORABLE grand babies and another on the way!  🧡   Our sweet Scottish Terrier brings us daily joy as well!  When I am not at school I enjoy walking, reading, cross stitch, keeping up with friends and family, cooking, and a bit of Netflix.    

My goal as a teacher is to provide a safe and happy classroom community where students can inquire, share, discover more about themselves and the world they live in, as well as strengthen their interests. I look forward to a GREAT 2024-2025 with your child.
