Welcome to 1st Grade!

My name is Ayla Hosty, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be your child’s 1st-grade teacher this year at Regency Place Elementary. This marks my 16th year in education, and I’ve had the joy of teaching everything from Pre-K through 4th grade. Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant—my passion for helping students grow academically, emotionally, and confidently. I truly believe every child is capable of greatness, and I’m honored to be part of their journey this year!

I’m a proud San Antonio native and a lifelong product of North East ISD—I graduated from MacArthur High School (Go Brahmas!) and went on to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University. I also hold certifications in English as a Second Language and Gifted and Talented education. Currently, I’m pursuing my Master’s degree in Special Education to become an Educational Diagnostician through Texas A&M – San Antonio.

Outside the classroom, I’m a proud wife and mom. My husband John and I recently celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary, and we’re raising two amazing kids—Creighton, who is starting 7th grade, and Harper, a proud 4th grader right here at Regency! As a family, we love being outdoors, going on road trips, reading, and enjoying life’s little adventures.

I’m so excited for the year ahead and all the learning, laughter, and memories we’ll create together. Let’s make it a fantastic year full of growth, discovery, and success. I can’t wait to meet you and partner with you in your child’s learning journey!
