I am a University of New Mexico alumni, graduating with my Bachelors in Elementary Education in 2012. This will be my 19th year working with children ranging in ages from birth to 18 years of age. My professional background began at a Child Development Center, where I worked for 8 years while going to college and raising my children. My first two years in the traditional classroom were as a Kindergarten teacher in Bosque Farms, NM. My move to Texas in 2014 granted me the opportunity to discover new teaching opportunities and this was when I was introduced to Family Consumer Sciences (FCS). As a FCS teacher, I have worked in both the high school and middle school setting, this being my 6th year at Madison. I absolutely LOVE what I do and teach and truly cannot imagine doing anything else but teaching FCS at Madison.
