My name is Wilmer Franklin Zambrana Guadamuz, from Managua, Nicaragua, with 12 years dedicated to teaching. I consider myself as a responsible and serious person who not only likes to succeed in life but I also want that people feel comfortable. I think altruism is a good value that has shaped me in the teaching field.

I have loved learning from others as well as sharing what I have learned and interacting with people. Since I was young I was curious and meticulous not only about my learning environment or how I used to behave as a student but also about my teachers´ role and performance in the classroom. Having taken different English courses in Academies and Workshops and finished my major at UNAN-Managua; I consider I have enriched my knowledge in TESOL. This, of course, has gone through a learning process during years. The service and help I have offered to my students while learning English, gives me satisfaction. Something that has inspired me to become a better teacher is the improvement I have seen in my students.

I also studied to be a certified primary school teacher in a 3 year program from Ministry of Education in Nicaragua. That led me to continue getting more knowledge and experience and that was why I took a major in education at UNAN Managua during 5 years and I have had the honour to teach not only in high schools but also I have taught kinder, elementary school, academies and universities. Teaching in different institutions, some publics and others privates, has taught me how to deal with different students’ ages, backgrounds, or purposes.

I feel really proud of becoming a teacher. This decision gives sense to my life. –a reason for being. Being prepared professionally is an important factor in this field so that we can improve educational quality and provide innovative systems.

Mi nombre es Wilmer Franklin Zambrana Guadamuz, de Managua, Nicaragua, con 12 años dedicado a la docencia. Me considero una persona seria y responsable a la que no solo le gusta triunfar en la vida sino que también quiero que las personas se sientan cómodas. Creo que el altruismo es un buen valor que me ha formado en el ámbito docente.

Me encanta aprender de los demás, así como compartir lo que he aprendido e interactuar con la gente. Desde joven fui curioso y meticuloso no solo sobre mi entorno de aprendizaje o cómo solía comportarme como estudiante, sino también sobre el papel y el desempeño de mis maestros en el aula. Habiendo tomado diferentes cursos de inglés en Academias y Talleres y terminado mi carrera en la UNAN-Managua; Considero que he enriquecido mis conocimientos en TESOL. Esto, por supuesto, ha pasado por un proceso de aprendizaje durante años. El servicio y la ayuda que he brindado a mis alumnos mientras aprenden inglés, me da satisfacción. Algo que me ha inspirado a convertirme en un mejor maestro es la mejora que he visto en mis alumnos.

También estudié para ser maestro certificado de escuela primaria en un programa de 3 años del Ministerio de Educación de Nicaragua. Eso me llevó a seguir adquiriendo más conocimientos y experiencia y por eso estudié la carrera de educación en la UNAN Managua durante 5 años y he tenido el honor de enseñar no solo en colegios sino que también he dado clases de kínder, primaria, academias. y universidades. Dar clases en diferentes instituciones, algunas públicas y otras privadas, me ha enseñado a lidiar con diferentes edades, antecedentes o propósitos de los estudiantes.

Me siento muy orgulloso de ser maestro. Esta decisión da sentido a mi vida. –una razón de ser. Estar preparados profesionalmente es un factor importante en este campo para que podamos mejorar la calidad educativa y ofrecer sistemas innovadores.
