¡Bienvenidos a Pre-Kinder! 

My name is Andrea Zuniga, I was born and raised in McAllen, Tx. (Border with Reynosa, Mexico), so I have lived the BEST of both worlds. My Mexican culture has shaped me into who I am today. When I was young, my family moved to the United States, so I had to come to school here, I did not know any English and back then there were no bilingual classrooms, therefore I had to learn the language by myself, or through my personal experiences. I grew up, and I decided to study bilingual education, I did not want any kid to go what I went through, not have any support at school, so I just decided to become who I needed when I was younger. I moved to San Antonio 5 years ago, and it has been the most amazing decision I have ever made. I graduated from The University of Texas A&M at Kingsville with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary studies and from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Master's in Educational Leadership. This school year 2024-2025 will be my fifth year teaching here at Regency Place Elementary with experience of 2 years in Kindergarten and 3 in Pre-Kindergarten. I started my teaching career by entering as a substitute, then as a Pre-K assistant, and now I have my own classroom as a Pre-K DUAL teacher and soon to be school administrator, it has been the most rewarding experience ever.
