“Ever since I joined Lopez Middle School's yearbook staff in 7th grade, I have been in love with all things journalism,” said Madeline. “I enjoyed gathering information for the yearbook as well as taking photos for the book. I was really excited when I found out I was nominated and now accepted to go to the WJMC conference. I'm looking forward to learning from people who work in journalism throughout the conference as well as experiencing the opportunity of furthering my knowledge of journalism.”
Madeline joins a select group of students from all over the country for an intensive study of journalism and media. She was chosen based on her academic accomplishments and interest and excellence in journalism and media studies.
