BS in Kinesiology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi
I graduated college in 2013 down at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and started my journey as a Seahawk later that same year. The 2021-2022 school year will be the start of my 9th year teaching/coaching in the Seahawk Nation.
I come from a long line of coaches, teachers, and administrators in my family so I believe I was born into this profession. My passion in life is being able to help others navigate their way through life, so being a coach has allowed me to do what I love on a daily basis. I am also a mother of 3 fun loving and energetic girls.
I consider myself optimistic so in dealing with COVID-19 and going back to school I am most excited about the new way of learning. Bringing fun and exciting apps and technology into the physical education world is a way we can reach out and live a more active and healthy lifestyle. When we come together we can achieve ANYTHING!

In Middle School Physical Education, students understand in greater detail the function of the body, learn to measure their own performance more accurately, and develop plans for improvement. They learn to use technology such as heart rate monitors to assist in measuring and monitoring their own performance. Identifying the types of activities that provide them with enjoyment and challenge and that will encourage them to be physically active throughout life is reinforced during instruction in these grades.
