Elizabeth De La Rosa

My name is Elizabeth De La Rosa. I am the Family Specialist at both Wilshire and Oak Grove Elementary School. I have been a Family Specialist with NEISD since 2011.  I graduated from the University of Texas San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education.  Prior to becoming a Family Specialist, I worked for Judson ISD as a Parent Educator and San Antonio ISD as a Gear Up Coach. In my experience I have worked with students and families from elementary level to college.  It is such a privilege to be able to help families in all areas of life, to meet their goals, and to support the whole family unit.

    Family Engagement creates and sustains partnerships with students, families, and the community to ensure high levels of learning for all.

    Family Specialists

    Family Specialists are available to all NEISD families. They assist in various ways, such as:

    provide families with information from the district, community agencies, city and state institutions, and any other organizations that might benefit those with specific needs;

    • facilitate and conduct parent-education classes, counseling and mentoring;
    • assist students and families to reach their maximum educational benefits;
    • provide support to those who are in an emotional or financial crisis.

    Family Engagement Courses

    Family Engagement Course are free to all parents, grandparents, or community members. Participants are offered information on a wide variety of subjects.

    4. Health, Nutrition, and Safety
    5. Leadership and Community Service
