I am a North East graduate from Churchill High School, go Chargers!  After high school, I attended Texas State University to study elementary education.  I am certified to teach Early Childhood Education through fourth grade, as well as ESL. I strive for my classroom to be a welcoming community of learners, and want my students to achieve their best every day.  In return, I will do my best to make sure they are successful and they love school. After teaching fourth grade for 14 years, I am enjoying my second year as a dyslexia teacher!  I am in the process of becoming a Take Flight trained therapist. Thousand Oaks earned our Lighthouse certification in 2022, and we teach the 7 Habits of Happy Kids using the Leader in Me program. After school, I lead the staff and student Lighthouse teams. In my free time I love to go on adventures with my family, read, hike, go to the movies, and play with my pets.
