Hello!  My name is Joanna Bacon.  I am a happy, energetic, dog lover,  fitness coach and dedicated runner who has a passion for teaching.  I grew up in Katy, Texas outside of Houston.  I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  I also have my ESL certification.  This will be my 19th year teaching. When I am not teaching, I am a lovingwife to a wonderful husband and a mother of twin girls Caitlyn and Addisyn who are 7th graders at Tejeda this year. We have a yellow lab named Molly who enjoys playing fetch and swimming and we have a chocolate lab named Bailey who enjoys playing frisbee.  I LOVE running with friends, a time to challenge myself and socialize.  I LOVE shopping and I absolutely LOVE family time!  In my classroom, I believe in providing a hands on and loving environment.  Most importantly a place where learning is FUN!!
