Mrs. Lisa M Brown

Hello Las Lomas Families! 🦁❤️

My name is Lisa Brown, and I have the privilege of being your child's 4th grade teacher this school year!  I graduated from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education and began teaching in 2001. I taught fourth grade for a few years before taking a break from full time teaching when my children were young and my husband was in the Army and we lived all over the country. From 2019-2023, I worked as a substitute teacher, and two of those years were here at Las Lomas Elementary. Because of that, many of the students will already know who I am and may have had me as their teacher before, which is very fun. In 2023, I got my Texas certification and went back to teaching full time. I feel so blessed to be teaching at this wonderful school, but especially experiencing these times with your children.

When I am not teaching, I am reading, gardening, taking photographs, napping and spending time with my husband and three kids.  My older son and daughter are both in college, and my youngest son went to 3rd-5th grade at Las Lomas.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or comments that you may have throughout the school year. Building relationships is very important to me and my door is always open. I believe communication between teachers, parents, and students is one of the biggest keys to success. It is my passion to learn all about your children, to help them grow as a person and also as leaders. I look forward to an exciting year making memories and helping your children reach their full personal potential. 😊
