My name is Melody Burge and I will be your child’s 1st grade teacher this year. I am excited for a great year together! We will laugh and learn together as we get your child ready for 2nd grade!

Here is a little about me- I graduated summa cum laude from UTSA with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  I am certified for Preschool- 6th and I am also ESL (English as a Second Language) certified. I love teaching and I’m looking forward to the year ahead! My husband Shawn and I have been married for 20 wonderful years. We have a 20- year- old son named Nickolaus. He will be starting his third year of college this year while he joins the Air Force. 

In addition to being a wife, mother, and teacher, I’m also a Health and Wellness Affiliate with Beachbody. I love to help people reach their goals with the right workout and nutrition plan in the comfort of their home! My passion in life is helping others, whether it be in the classroom or with health and fitness!

As a parent, I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your child’s teacher. Therefore, I want us to work together to help your child have the best year possible!
