Mrs. Leticia A. Reyes (Annette)
Hello, my name is Annette Reyes, your child's fourth grade Dual language teacher. This is my 18th year teaching at Northeast and my 30th year as an educator. I come from a family of educators beginning with my mother, who is my true inspiration to becoming a teacher. During my years of teaching, I have taught grades kinder thru fifth - all bilingual/ESL.
I graduated from St. Mary's University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry. My passion in learning was in the field of science and my dream was to attend dental school. After spending time with my mother in her class, I realized that teaching was my natural field of expertise. I then attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and received my teaching certification in Elementary Education with a specialization in Bilingual and ESL thru 5th grade. I believe the teaching and learning process is one which involves a deep sense of commitment on the part of the teacher in the areas of subject matter and socioeconomic status of the student. With lots of care, dedication and love, ALL children can learn and become successful.
I look forward to a succcessful school year with your child.
