  • Medications on Campus

A reminder, per district policy, students are NOT ALLOWED to carry medications on campus. This includes medicated lip balms, cough drops and throat lozenges. In addition, students are NOT ALLOWED to transport medication to the clinic. Parents must bring in ALL medications to the clinic.

Cough drops, throat lozenges, insect repellent and any other over-the-counter medication can be administered to student ONLY with a provider’s order.

    Fevers

Children with fever cannot be in school. If your child develops a fever of 100.0 or greater at school, you will be called and expected to take them home as soon as possible.  Students must stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication (Tylenol or Motrin).

If your child develops a fever at home, please DO NOT send them to school even if you have given them fever-reducing medication (Tylenol or Motrin).  Once the medication has worn off, the child will start feeling bad and they may be exposing the other children in the class to potentially contagious illnesses.

    Change of Clothing

It is highly encouraged that our Kindergarten and 1st graders bring a clean change of clothing to school.  Accidents happen, and the clinic has a limited supply of clothes for students to borrow.
