It is an honor and a privilege to be the new Family Engagement Liaison for the Churchill Cluster. Although I am not originally from Texas, my husband and I have made our lives in Texas for the past eleven years. We are new to San Antonio and when we decided to move here it was important for both of us to be part of the community, which is why I’m so excited to be here serving the families and students of the Churchill Cluster. 

My role is to be of service to all the families at Churchill High School and the feeder schools. Whether it be volunteering at your student’s school, learning English, or attending one of our many classes/workshops, I am here to offer opportunities for all families to be more involved in your student’s educational journey.

Es un honor y un privilegio ser la más reciente adición al equipo de Participación Familiar. Aunque no soy originaria de Texas, mi esposo y yo hemos vivido en este hermoso estado durante los últimos once años. Somos nuevos residentes de San Antonio y cuando decidimos mudarnos aquí era importante para ambos ser parte de la comunidad, por eso estoy tan emocionada de ser parte de este distrito y poder servir a las familias y estudiantes del Grupo de Escuelas de Churchill. 

Mi función es estar al servicio de todas las familias que componen el Grupo de Escuelas de Churchill. Ya sea para ser voluntario en la escuela de su estudiante, aprender inglés o asistir a una de las muchas clases/talleres disponibles, estoy aquí para ofrecer oportunidades para que todas las familias tengan una participación más activa en la educación de sus estudiantes.

    Family Engagement creates and sustains partnerships with students, families, and the community to ensure high levels of learning for all.

    Family Specialists

    Family Specialists are available to all NEISD families. They assist in various ways, such as:

    provide families with information from the district, community agencies, city and state institutions, and any other organizations that might benefit those with specific needs;

    • facilitate and conduct parent-education classes, counseling and mentoring;
    • assist students and families to reach their maximum educational benefits;
    • provide support to those who are in an emotional or financial crisis.

    Family Engagement Courses

    Family Engagement Course are free to all parents, grandparents, or community members. Participants are offered information on a wide variety of subjects.

    5. Leadership and Community Service
