Mr. Adams

Hello there. My name is Bryan Adams (no, not the pop singer from the 1980s, and not the same guy they named a high school after in the Dallas area), but I am an English Language Arts & Reading teacher at Harris Middle School. I teach 8th grade ELAR and Journalism. I am also an assistant coach in the athletic department. I coach football, basketball and track. I have been teaching since 2004 both at the high school level and middle school level. Before I became a teacher, I was a sports journalist and editor for about 10 years at a handful of different newspapers throughout the state. I also coached baseball in high school. I graduated from Bradley Middle School, MacArthur High School and Texas Tech University. In high school I earned a spot on the All-Greater San Antonio Baseball team in 1990, and graduated first in my class... because my last name starts with an 'A.' LOL. I played in the Red-Black baseball series one year at Texas Tech, I like to play video games associated with sports and I'm a pretty good at table tennis. I'm a huge Red Raiders fan, as well as a serious Los Angeles Dodgers fan and loyal San Antonio Spurs fan. And, whatever football team Patrick Mahomes plays on (currently the Kansas City Chiefs). I was born in Nebraska and I have two dogs, Scully and Tommy.
