Maritza Hernandez

Hello, I am Ms. Hernandez, a second grade Dual Language teacher. I am so excited about working with your child this year! This is going to be my first year at ETH and my second-year teaching. I am a strong believer in honesty and creating strong relationships with each of my students and their parents.

I was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas but raised here in San Antonio, TX. I come from a big family that gave me my love for food and appreciation for my culture. I received my education from the University of Texas at San Antonio where I received my bachelor in Bilingual Education Ec-6. Other things that I enjoy are reading, sketching, history and watching movies. 

Hola, soy la Sra. Hernandez, maestra de lenguaje dual de segundo grado. ¡Estoy muy emocionada de trabajar con su hijo este año! Este va a ser mi primer año en ETH y mi segundo año como docente. Creo firmemente en la honestidad y en crear relaciones sólidas con cada uno de mis alumnos y sus padres.

Nací en Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas pero me crié aquí en San Antonio, TX. Vengo de una gran familia que me transmitió el amor por el café y el aprecio por mi cultura. Recibí mi educación de la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio, donde obtuve mi licenciatura en Educación Bilingüe Ec-6. Otras cosas que disfruto son leer, dibujar, historia y ver películas.
