All About Me!

My name is Mrs. Whitis and I am so glad to have you in my class this year.  

I was born and raised right here in San Antonio, Texas. I attended North East schools throughout my academic career. I attended St. Mary's University and graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Reading. Having attended North East schools all my life, when it came time to choose where I would like to teach, I naturally chose to teach in the North East Independent School District.  This will be my 27th year of teaching, with18 of those years being right here at Wilderness Oak.

As for my personal life, I have been married for twenty-six years. Mr. Whitis and I are so lucky to have many of our family members living right here in San Antonio.  We love spending time with our family and our rescued Italian Greyhound.  We also enjoy traveling to new places and going to the Disney World and Disneyland Resorts as often as we can.
