Mrs. Annie Armstrong

I am so excited to begin my 16th year teaching in NEISD.  I have been at Wilderness Oak since we opened and could not ask to be at a better school!  The amazing students, families, staff, and community here make this large school feel very welcoming.

I grew up in San Antonio and attended NEISD schools until I graduated from Mac Arthur in 1999.  I went on to get my degree from The University of Texas at Austin in Applied Learning Development with a minor in Educational Psychology. 

I feel like I have chosen a job that is a great fit for me!  Working with kids is never boring and I am amazed daily when I see the impact that such young kids can have on our world.  Thank you for entrusting me with your most valued possession each day.  My promise to you is that I will do everything I can to encourage your child to dream big and reach all of their goals.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy volunteering in the community, traveling and spending time with my family.  I have been fortunate enough to visit 25 countries in six continents already and still have a long list of places that I want to go.   I hope that my experiences will add to our classroom discussions and help give our kids a better understanding of the world around us.  I have been married to my husband Gregg for seven years and two wonderful children, Bayliss and Trey. 

I know we are going to have a year full of learning and FUN!
