Meet Mrs. Herrera

This will be my twenty-first year teaching!  It's amazing how time flies when you love what you do for a living.  I have taught all twenty-one years in NorthEast ISD.

I was born in Fayatteville, North Carolina and moved to Houston, Texas when I was very young. I went to Texas Christian University, and graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now called Texas State University).  

I have been married to my best friend and wonderful husband Danny for 14 years now.  We have a 21-year-old son named Jacob (my step-son) who attends UNT and a 12-year-old son, Brady.  I am very blessed to have 2 amazing children who light up my world.  Our family also has a crazy dog, Sampson.  He is a mini-Australian Goldendoodle.  

In our spare time, you will find me on the baseball field with my son, Brady.  We are at the baseball fields ALOT !!!!!  If we are not at baseball, my family and I enjoy spending time with our families and friends. We love baseball and football seasons and I love watching my favorite NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles! Go Eagles!!  I also love to read, cook/bake, and be crafty if and when I have a break, which is not very often right now.  

Now that you know about me, I am looking forward to getting to know each and every child in my room and having a wonderful year of learning. My room is a place where children are unconditionally loved and respected each day.  I want to thank you in advance for trusting me with your precious boy or girl and giving me the opportunity to help them learn all they can.
