I was born and raised in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. 

My teaching experience is in 4th grade, a K-1 multiage, 2nd grade, 1st grade from 2003-2014, and Kindergarten from 2014 to now! So you may be wondering why I moved all the way down here to Texas?! It all basically comes down to the fact that I had the opportunity to travel after college and I picked Texas!  I’ve been teaching for NEISD since 2003.

I have an older brother who lives in Madison, Wisconsin. My older sister used to teach in the twin cities in Minnesota. My mom and dad are still “back home” in Rochester, Minnesota and my mom is a retired teacher! It runs in the family!

When I am not at school, I’m on my daily swim, bike, or run. I compete in Ironman triathlons and I’m an addicted ultra-marathoner.  I coach athletes for running and triathlons.  I love traveling, spending time outside, baking, and crafting. I’ve been to Europe five times and to many of the states here in America.

I am so blessed to spend every day at school and I love the early childhood age!
