Hello! My name is Mariah Marhofer. So happy you are here! I am from Boerne, TX and am the oldest of 5 girls in my family. In my free time, I love cozying up on the couch with a good book, cooking for my friends and family, doing pilates/barre, and making pottery! I graduated from Texas A&M (WHOOP) where I received my B.S. in Elementary Education and specialized in Early Childhood. This will be my 3rd year teaching and second year at Northwood in First Grade! I am proud to call this my school family. 

As early as 4 years old, my dream was to be a teacher. I was completely captured by my first school teacher and the way she led the room into catchy songs, made me feel important, and how her passion for a topic made us more engaged. I would gather my little school buddies around me at recess to "reteach" the lessons often. To this day, teaching is the most fitting profession for me. I am committed to creating a rich classroom environment where every child is a valued, trusted, and integral part of our family of learners. I am passionate about utilizing a variety of activities, technology, and student interests to emphasize and reinforce our educational goals. Whether the achievement is big or small, I will always be in their corner cheering them on.
